The Samsic Group has just acquired the ITIREMIA company, a former affiliate of the SNCF Group.

ITIREMIA is one of the leading French companies for in-station services (assisting disabled passengers, management of left luggage facilities, lost property, etc.) and related responsibilities (track crossings, flow management, etc.). Its 650 employees are instantly recognisable by their famous “red vests”.

The company’s range of services covers reception, information, orientation, support, passenger assistance, VIP, visitors, and disabled passenger assistance, and its expertise is in demand in various locales, including airports, train stations, convention centres and sports infrastructures.

With this acquisition the Samsic Group is bolstering its foothold in human services for the mobility sector, in a potential preview of what could be achieved in airport services. The Samsic Group’s aim is to capitalise on ITIREMIA’s human and professional expertise, in order to develop its activities with existing clients. This will be achieved through the Samsic City Division, of which ITIREMIA is now a part.

Now that ITIREMIA is backed up by a robust organisation specialising in service provider activities, with the power to support its development ambitions, it will benefit from the Samsic Group’s dynamic framework and widespread visibility, which will help accelerate the diversification of its client portfolio.

“This acquisition is a wonderful opportunity for the Samsic Group to strengthen its links to the SNCF Group, as well as the wider network of terrestrial and maritime transport operators, and to develop with the backing of highly professional teams. This is an excellent strategic opportunity for our Group,” Guy Roulleau, President of Samsic Facility.
