More than twenty years ago, Orange and Samsic signed a partnership for cleaning services on Orange's tertiary sites. Since then, the partnership has developed with an aim for ongoing efficiency, both in the types of services provided and the joint ambition of meeting each stakeholders’ challenges: contribute to protecting the environment, and employee and customer wellbeing. Today, Samsic provides multiservices for 665 buildings, multi-technical maintenance and multiservices for 165 shops, and security services for 11 sites and 23 warehouses.

1\ Samsic supports Orange in a sustainable and virtuous partnership - what is the outcome of this support?

Brigitte Dumont: For Orange, the relationship with our suppliers is vital. Be it in our sustainable purchasing policy, or in a more developed relationship, we adamantly aim to maintain a virtuous circle for our entire ecosystem in a bid to maximize our positive impact.

Stephanie Daussy: Joint progress has been made and is still ongoing, especially due to SamLab - a service innovation aimed at revamping services by placing employees and their skills at the heart of the process. Samlab encourages attentiveness and steering throughout our entire network by constantly adjusting at all offered service levels. Amongst the observed results, I would cite the following examples: the initiatives taken to reduce annual water consumption by more than 145,000 litres when cleaning Orange fleet vehicles; replacing paper by rolling out the "Mysamsic" application and Tablettes Inside; and using osmosis water to reduce the use of chemical products at the Lannion site.

Brigitte Dumont: Exactly, or by replacing and the subsequent phasing-out of the use of chemical products to clean our shops, which are virtuous actions which we intend to develop.

2\ In your opinion, does the partnership with Samsic incite Orange to further develop these areas?

Brigitte Dumont: We share the same values and develop them through synergies which focus on our respective societal commitments such as education, the fight against geographical and societal gaps by providing employment for people with disabilities, and also addressing the issue of illiteracy. Samsic actively contributes to inclusion by providing employment for "vulnerable" individuals - be it for reasons such as reduced mobility, estrangement from employment, or juggling two jobs - and greatly impacts society with its services. In France, one Orange job supports 2.9 jobs. Our widespread regional presence means we can maximise our actions and those of our partners.

3\ How is your Group involved in these inclusion processes?

Brigitte Dumont: Our employees search meaning in their actions and have an increasing sense of citizen awareness. Inclusion is one of the key pillars in our CSR policy and must be fostered by digital technology. It is for this reason that Orange has developed innovations and applications such as Ellomi to raise awareness of different types of invisible handicaps. Orange has also developed a mobile application to help deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals to communicate better, and learning programmes to promote the insertion of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds, especially thanks to funding from the Orange Foundation.

Stephanie Daussy: We share the same commitments for this societal challenge. Samsic developed a partnership with the #Stop Illettrisme association, and some of our customers, to offer our employees a year-round training programme and tutor support (onsite at our customers' premises) to learn to read and write in French.
